Dr. Jan Deprest, the Chair of the Scientific Committee, presented the Best Overall Abstract award to Dr. Milena Weinstein, who then presented her work. Dr. Weinstein and her team performed a randomized controlled trial comparing home pelvic floor muscle training with Voices for PFD regimen versus motion-based digital therapeutic guided PFMT for 8 weeks to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI). More than 300 women were randomized in the study. Dr. Weinstein presented the long-term follow-up outcomes. The change in the UDI-6 score remained significantly more improved in the device group versus the control at 18 and 24-month follow-up. The PGI-I outcomes also remained significantly "much better" and "very much better" in the device group at long-term follow-up. It is also noted that both groups noted improvement in their UDI-6 from baseline. She concludes that the motion-based device shows "durable and significantly greater improvement" in stress-predominant urinary incontinence and should be considered first-line therapy for SUI.
