Dr Rebecca Young is an early career urogynaecologist working in Sydney in both the public and private sector. She has recently set up a thriving private practice in Sydney and also holds a Conjoint Associate Lecturer position at the University of New South Wales. She will be discussing her experience in urogynaecology training in multiple centres in Australia and the trials and tribulations of setting up in private practice and transitioning from a fellow to a consultant.

Dr Jerome Melon, is the clinical lead for Urogynaecology at Queens Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane and holds public and private appointments in Brisbane and Gold Coast, Australia. During his urogynaecology fellowship, Dr Melon trained in multiple centres across the world in Hong Kong and Canada. He regularly volunteers overseas in Madagascar and balances this with a busy private practice. He will be discussing his experience of urogynaecology training around the world and also how to have work life balance and a fulfilling urogynaecology career.

Dr Emi Bretschneider, is the head of the urogynecology division at Northwestern University in Chicago. She is an early career urogynecologist, well known researcher and mentor for research and is a current member of the American Urogynecology Society. She will be discussing her career in urogynecology thus far and how to transition from being a trainee to attending life, how to get promotion to be division director within 5 years, how to become a mentor, coach or sponsor.

Dr Jerome Yaklic, is the current chairman of OBGYN department at University of Texas Medical branch. He currently serves as the treasurer for AUGS. He will bring his experience as a late career urogynecologist and talk about his journey in private practice and transitioning back to an academic career. He will discuss the differences of academic vs private practice and being a leader in urogynecology.
