Roy Ng

Associate Professor Roy Ng (MBBS, LRCP Edin, LRCS Edin, LRCPS Glasg, MRCOG & FRCOG, M Obstet & Gynaec L’pool, FAMS S’pore) is a Senior Consultant & Head, Division of Urogynaecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, National University Hospital, Singapore.
He was the Secretary of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) [2016-19]; local chair, IUGA Regional Symposium, Singapore, April, 2012 and chair, LOC 46th IUGA Annual Meeting, Singapore, 8-12 December 2021.
He has been on the faculty of IUGA’s eXchange Programs and Regional Symposia in Asia for over 5 years; and has been invited to regional and international Urogynaecological and Obstetrical & Gynaecological conferences in the past 2 decades.

S. Abbas Shobeiri

S. Abbas Shobeiri, MD, MBA is the Vice-Chair of Gynecologic Subspecialties and Professor of OB/GYN, Medical Education, and Bioengineering at INOVA. Dr. Shobeiri obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, Medical Degree from TUFTS University, and completed his residency and fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Because of his background and experiences, Dr. Shobeiri was entrusted with establishing a state-of-the-art urogynecology section at the University of Oklahoma in 2002. Dr. Shobeiri is the director of the NAFC designated national center of excellence; continence care at INOVA, ICS, and IUGA research scholar program, a multidisciplinary INOVA-George Mason University Pelvic Floor Investigation Group, "Ultrasound of Pelvic Floor Investigation and Therapeutics" (UPFIT). Dr. Shobeiri has been the recipient of many research and educational awards, including AUGS Best Educational Research award, APGO Excellence in Teaching award, and BJOG best reviewer award. He has received funding from AUGS, ACOG, NICHD, and the industry. Dr. Shobeiri's research interests include new robotic technologies, medical device development, and pelvic floor and ultrasound imaging. He has been a grant reviewer for ACOG, AUGS, and American Federation for Aging Research. He is a manuscript reviewer for multiple journals. He has authored >200 articles in scientific journals and many chapters for textbooks standard to Gynecology, Urogynecology, and medical device development. He is the editor of "Practical Pelvic Floor Ultrasonography" book, now in 2nd edition, and "The Innovation and Evolution of Medical Devices." He has chaired annual workshops at the AUGS, ICS, IUGA, AIUM, and meetings worldwide.

Varisara Chantarasorn

Dr. Varisara Chantarasorn is a Urogynecologist at Division of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Department of obstetrics and gynecology, Ramathibodi hospital and Bumrungrad
International Hospital in Bangkok. After receiving a Board of OB -GYN from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok in 2007, Dr. Varisara became a clinical fellow in Urogynecology at the Nepean Clinical School, University of Sydney where she conducted
research with special interest in pelvic floor ultrasound and resulted in multiple presentations at the international conferences and publications in various Urogynecological journals. She received Isobel Corin Research Award at the Nepean Clinical School in 2009. She is currently a member of IUGA, pelvic floor ultrasound special interest group (SIG) and Thai Urogynecology Society committee.

Masayoshi Nomura

Dr. Masayoshi “Jimmy” Nomura is the current director of Urogynecology Center, Kameda Medical Center in Chiba, Japan. Trained in both fields of urology and obstetrics and gynecology, I have been held various positions in local and international societies of urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and urogynecology. I have been regularly invited as a key resource person in local, regional, and international conferences to share our surgical expertise and techniques. My special interests as a urogynecologist include laparoscopic surgery and functional female urology.
