Tell us about where you currently live (city/country) and how you ended up in this location.

I live and work in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia, which a beautiful east coast province of Canada. Regardless of where you are in Nova Scotia, you are never too far from the ocean.

Tell us about your work - your job title, where you work, how long you've worked in the field, areas of focus or research, etc.

I am a fellowship trained Urogynaecologist who works at a tertiary care centre and have an academic appointment as Associate Professor with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dalhousie University. I have a keen interest in postpartum pelvic floor trauma.

When and why did you decide to join IUGA?

This organization has an amazing history and body of work with regards to advancing and promoting knowledge in the area of pelvic floor medicine. I enjoy and admire the multi-disciplinary collaboration that occurs within the IUGA and was very excited at the opportunity to join the team.

What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?

Attending the 2019 annual conference in Vienna was a particularly memorable meeting. Both the venue and the program were very impressive.

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy painting using multiple forms of media. Recent projects have included beach stone painting with acrylic with my children. This has allowed us the opportunity to enjoy quiet afternoons at home together letting our imaginations reign free.
