Tell us about where you currently live (city/country) and how you ended up in this location.

I currently reside in São Paulo, Brazil. I was born and raised in this bustling metropolis. While I had the opportunity to study abroad, I ultimately returned to São Paulo to further my education and career here at the Federal University of São Paulo.

Tell us about your work - your job title, where you work, how long you've worked in the field, areas of focus or research, etc.

I am a PhD student at the Federal University of São Paulo. I completed my Ob-Gyn residency and Urogynecology fellowship at the same institution. My research interests are broad but include surgical techniques, OAB (Overactive Bladder), and the urinary microbiome.

When and why did you decide to join IUGA?

I joined IUGA during my fellowship in Urogynecology. During this time, I found inspiration in exceptional urogynecologists who served as role models, igniting my passion for the field and fueling my desire to become a part of this global community through their guidance and mentorship Joining IUGA has been a remarkable opportunity for me to deepen my knowledge, engage in enriching exchanges, and learn from the best in the field.

What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?

Having the opportunity to represent my country and institution in the IUGA Fellows and Trainees committee!

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love going to the beach, sports, eating, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
