Tell us about where you currently live (city/country) and how you ended up in this location.

I was born and raised in Ribeirão Preto in the interior of São Paulo, where I also found my current position as Professor and researcher in the Physiotherapy Course at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School - University of São Paulo.

Tell us about your work - your job title, where you work, how long you've worked in the field, areas of focus or research, etc.

I have been a professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo for 15 years, my research focus is Women´s and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. I have interest in clinical research, specially physiotherapy interventions to treat pelvic floor dysfunction in women. I have conduted many RCTs and systematic reviews, supervised many masterdegree and Phd students.

When and why did you decide to join IUGA?

For the opportunity of learning, exchange of experience at an international level, interprofessional work, participation and contribution to the strengthening of an international association.

What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?

Participate in scientific events and committees, be able to exchange experiences at an international level.
