March is Endometriosis Awareness Month!

Observed each March, Endometriosis Awareness Month is a global movement dedicated to increasing recognition of endometriosis, promoting earlier diagnosis, and improving access to appropriate care. This initiative brings together clinicians, researchers, patient advocates, and organizations worldwide to address the significant physical, emotional, and social impact of a conditions that affects an estimated 200 million women across cultures and healthcare systems. By elevating awareness and encouraging open conversations, this month also helps reduce stigma and supports more informed, compassionate care.

For IUGA, raising awareness of endometriosis is closely aligned with our commitment to advancing pelvic floor health. Endometriosis is frequently associated with chronic pelvic pain, bladder and bowel symptoms, and complex pelvic floor dysfunction, areas that are central to urogynecological care.
