This Pelvic Floor Imaging SIG invites you to join the Pelvic Floor Imaging SIG Education Session - Levator Trauma Revisted: Diagnosis, Clinical Impact and Future Direction. Levator ani trauma is a key yet often underdiagnosed contributor to pelvic floor dysfunction and prolapse recurrence. This SIG Session revisits contemporary understanding of levator injury, highlihting advances in tpus imaging, clinical implications, surgical relevance and future directions in diagnosis and management. Practical evidence-based insights for clinicians involved in pelvic floor care will be discussed.

SIG Chair

Nisha Subramaniam is a Victorian-based Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising urogynaecology and pelvic floor imaging, and is the current Chair of the Pelvic Floor Imaging SIG at IUGA
Faculty

Ixora Atan is a Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Urogynaecologist and an Associate Professor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Head of O&G Department & Urogynaecology Unit in the Faculty of Medicine and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, National University of Malaysia (UKM), and an Adjunct Professor in the Putra University Malaysia. She is a member of Malaysian O&G Conjoint Board for postgraduate O&G specialty training and is the course director for the Doctor of O&G and Urogynaecology Clinical Fellowship Programme in UKM. She is an active member of the International Urogynaecology Association (IUGA) and a member of the Fellowship Development Committee and PISQ-IR writing Group. She is also the Vice President for Malaysian Urogynaecology Society. She graduated with a medical degree in 1999 and master in O&G in 2007 from the National University of Malaysia. In 2014 and 2018, she completed her subspecialty training in Urogynaecology and PhD in the University of Sydney. Her main expertise is maternal birth trauma and pelvic floor imaging.
