This webinar will explore the complex relationship between pelvic floor function and female sexual health through a multidisciplinary urogynecological perspective. Pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction, can significantly affect women’s sexual well-being, body image, quality of life, and interpersonal relationships. Despite their high prevalence, sexual health concerns in women with pelvic floor disorders are often underrecognized and insufficiently addressed in clinical practice.
Bringing together experts from physiotherapy, nursing, and urogynecology, this webinar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the physiological, psychological, and clinical aspects of sexual dysfunction associated with pelvic floor disorders. The sessions will highlight the role of pelvic floor physiotherapy, conservative management strategies, patientcentered nursing care, and interdisciplinary collaboration in improving sexual health outcomes and quality of life for women.
Participants will gain practical insights into evidence-based assessment and management approaches, current perspectives in pelvic floor rehabilitation, and the importance of integrating sexual health discussions into routine urogynecological care. This webinar is designed for healthcare professionals involved in women’s health, including physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals interested in contemporary multidisciplinary approaches in urogynecology.
