The Pelvic Floor Imaging SIG Education Session - Smarter Imaging: The Emerging Role of AI in Pelvic Floor Ultrasound took place on August 29, 2026.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming pelvic floor ultrasound by improving image acquisition, automated measurements and diagnostic accuracy. Although AI applications in PFUS are still emerging, advances in machine learning are paving the way for more standardised and reproducible image analysis.
This SIG Session provided an overview of AI in PFUS, highlighting current applications, future oppotunities and challenges on intergrating AI into clinical practice and research. Participants gained practical insights into how AI can support, rather than replace, clinical expertise in pelvic floor imaging.
