Held April 11-12, 2019 at the Hangzhou Women's Hospital in Hangzhou, China, the IUGA eXchange Program aims to promote the international exchange of knowledge and skills in urogynecology and reconstructive surgery and to build up the subspecialty of urogynecology in the host country/region so that patients may receive higher quality care. The eXchange Program in Hangzhou therefore focused on basic urogynecology knowledge with 17 lectures and 6 workshops. The program was attended by 51 delegates including 3 vice presidents of the Chinese Urogynecologic Association, representatives from more than 10 provinces of China, and 1 attendee from Nepal. Drs. Lynsey Hayward, Peter Dwyer, and Roy Ng represented IUGA as international faculty.
The program was a great success in part due to the diligent work of the local organizing committee, chaired by Professor Zhu Lan from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Peking Union Medical College & Hospital, and co-chaired by Dr. Xiangjuan Li from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Hangzhou Women's Hospital, and assisted by Zhibo Zhang and Mei Jin.
