The role of SIGs within the association is to facilitate the sharing of ideas and resources among members with a common urogynecological interest and to undertake projects related to that area that advance the IUGA mission. Participation in a SIG also provides members with opportunities to grow professionally and to establish new professional relationships within the individual SIG community. Members can elect to participate in multiple SIGs. A group of 10 active IUGA members or the IUGA Board may form a SIG. The board approves the creation of all SIGs.
