As the leader of pelvic floor dysfunction group obstetrics & gynecology society affiliated to Chinese medical association since 2005 and also the principle investigator of national clinical trial and epidemiological study in pelvic floor dysfunction issue in National "Twelfth Five-Year" Plan for Science & Technology Support Program 2013, Zhu Lan has been dedicating herself to the advancement of urogynecological knowledge in China, through education and the promotion of basic and clinical research on disorders of the female pelvic floor. Being the scientific co-chair in ICS 2012, Beijing and the only Chinese editorial board member of International Urogynecology Journal, She is shouldering the responsibility to incorporate with international standards and improve the development of this subspecialty and standardization of diagnosis and treatment of PFD in China.
